Sweden 0
Trinidad and Tobago 0
Minnows Trinidad and Tobago played valiantly – with 10 men in the second half - to earn this well-deserved goalless draw with Sweden. Sweden played all the fancy football, especially with their forwards Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrik Larsson and Freddie Ljungberg linking so well, but it was T&T’s keeper Shaka Hislop who stole the show.
The veteran keeper, only a last minute inclusion to this game following an injury the first choice goalie Kelvin Jack, was the stumbling block time and time again. Sweden wasted about ten chances to score the elusive goal while T&T also hit the woodwork in the second half.
This result means England now lead Group B with three points, courtesy of the own goal by Paraguay earlier today.
